This is a fine example of Hopi overlay technique by Hopi artist Weaver Selina. Silver overlay jewelry is distinctive of Hopi silversmiths. With a clear and elegant design, this particular example, which is 1-1/2 inches in diameter, can be worn as either a pin or a pendant.   Selina's hallmark as a Hopi artist is a rising sun (or sunforehead).
